A few weeks ago, I asked you to ask me anything about the future of hospitality — and I owe you some answers.
This is just the first in a series of answer posts — the questions are good! This week, Expedite tackles restaurant tech consolidation and point of sale systems, what makes an industry up-and-comer, and whether or not a rising tide does, in fact, lift all boats.
But really, we should talk more. I’ll take questions all summer.

As I mentioned in the original prompt, I definitely don’t have all the answers. I don’t make product recommendations for a few reasons (including journalistic ethics), but I’m happy to share information about platforms and services.
I’ve done my best to show my work here. My opinions are informed by a decade of reporting on this business, but remember, they’re opinions. Paid subscribers can comment on this (and any!) post, and I welcome the dialogue.
