Would you join a waitlist to save cash on coffee? At Blank Street, 4,000 people are in line for a monthly subscription program. Let's discuss what comes next.
This model works, but I think the key is to offer something that you can’t get outside of the subscription program.
For example, a local restaurant here in Venice called Dudley Market does a wine club, similar to AOC. Their key differentiator is offering small production, natural wines that you couldn’t procure at your local wine store. Consequently, the wines are always new and unique, so there’s no risk of the customer going somewhere else to get the same wines cheaper.

Fantastic model if done right.
